**You will need a CD Key. If you don't have one, ask!**
===== Making it Work over VPN =====
The game tries to use your LAN interface by default which will not work for games over VPN.

**IF you already own the game skip to step 4**

  - Start the game for the first time (''age3.exe'')
  - Enter the CD key
  - Get to the main menu then quit
  - Navigate to ''My Documents\My Games\Age of Empires 3\Startup''
  - Create or edit ''user.cfg'' with the following content. Replace XXX with your VPN IP:

</file>

===== Launching =====
Run ''age3.exe''

In Multiplayer, LAN, direct connect to the IP of whoever is hosting.
